Universities mis-selling courses
Whilst I have some organisations agree with me I have not secured any satisfactory answer from anyone else so I would appreciate more feedback please. From my teaching experience, students on full-time degree courses receive on average 2.5 hours CONTACT tuition per week. Because they usually only have to attend the equivalent of two days per week in total module attendance, they go out searching for part-time jobs the other three days in order to pay fees. My contention is that there is no such thing as a full-time degree course by attendance, and therefore the universities are mis-selling these courses as being full-time courses. If this is the case, shouldn't students only pay 2/5ths of their fees, which is 2 days from 5 in a week?
